Search Instagram posts and reels
Searches Instagram posts and reels.

Request

query is required.

Response

If successful, the response body contains the standard envelope. data.results[] contains the matching posts and reels, each with its caption, author and views. The following example is a real response, truncated: each list shows one item and long strings are cut.
For every field, see the response schema on this page.
Each result contains the fields of the search card: caption, author and view count. Likes, comments and media are returned by Instagram post.

Optional parameters

Billing

Each successful request consumes 1 credit, regardless of the number of items returned. Requests that fail, or that return no items, are not billed.

Pagination

Results are paginated. To retrieve the next page, pass the value of data.cursor as cursor in a subsequent request. A response that omits cursor is the last page.
  • Instagram comments: Accepts postUrl. Returns a post’s comments, or the replies to one comment.
  • Instagram post: Accepts postUrl. Returns a post or reel, with its top comments.
  • Instagram profile: Accepts userUrl. Returns a profile’s bio, stats and a page of its posts and reels.
